Joe DeVito is an acclaimed artist, sculptor, and storyteller best known for reimagining and expanding the mythology of theKing Kong. Founder of DeVito ArtWorks, LLC, Joe has created worlds that span books, comics, games, and screen adaptations—including projects with Disney+, Raw Thrills VR gaming, and The Sandbox metaverse.
Over the decades, Joe has painted and sculpted many of pop culture’s most legendary heroes at the highest scale— Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Tarzan, Doc Savage, even MAD Magazine’s Alfred E. Neuman. Joe has cemented his place as one of today’s most versatile and visionary creators. His art has appeared on hundreds of book and magazine covers, collectible posters, trading cards, toys and in concept design for film and television.

Ever since King Kong stomped his way into the world’s consciousness questions have been asked. What is the history of King Kong and his Skull Island home? Artist and author, Joe DeVito, recorded his findings and discoveries about King Kong and Skull Island in two original stories, Skull Island and The History of Skull Island. These stories have since been novelized and expanded into several books. A live action Disney+ series is currently in the works.
